Operational trauma must be present. This program is designed for those who do not currently suffer from addiction. Those who are struggling with both trauma and addiction are better suited for our Concurrent Trauma and Addiction Program.

HERE’S WHAT A DAY IN TREATMENT COULD LIKE
While no two stays at our EHN Guardians treatment facilities are the same, here is what a typical day might look like in our Trauma and Psychological Injury Program.
MORNING
Start the day with a healthy, freshly prepared breakfast, before attending a psychoeducational session on different topics, for example managing guilt or setting healthy boundaries. Then you’ll set your intentions for the day with self-reflection, followed by a workout.
AFTERNOON
After lunch, participate in a lecture that explains how the mind-body connection affects trauma recovery. Then attend a one-on-one or group therapy session to learn how to cope with triggers
EVENING
Participate in specialized, trauma-centred peer support groups focused on symptoms management, emotional processing, or returning to work. After some mindfulness, you’ll enjoy dinner with fellow clients.
Continuing support for ongoing success
Support from EHN Guardians does not end once you step out the door. We believe that ongoing recovery requires ongoing care. That’s why one year of Aftercare, an important part of relapse prevention and monitoring, is included for all eligible alumni.
To further strengthen your commitment to continued recovery, we also offer access to our app-based support. This tool enables you to set personalized goals, track your progress, and stay mindful of potential triggers, ensuring you remain proactive in your recovery journey.
The Aftercare Program also aims at helping you identify risks of relapse and obtaining the guidance and recommendations you may need for early intervention if required.
