LJ Jones - EHN Guardians Community Alumni Coordinator

LJ began her career as a first responder with five years of service as a Volunteer Firefighter in Niagara Falls, Ontario. In 2006, she became a Primary Care Paramedic, and later Superintendent in 2013. After more than 20 years in emergency services, LJ’s career was interrupted by a PTSD diagnosis in 2019. She completed the Comprehensive Trauma and Addiction Program (CTAP) at EHN Guardians Gateway, where the staff, programming, and community of fellow Guardians played a crucial role in their recovery. This experience ignited a passion for advocating for others facing similar struggles with PTSD.

In 2023, LJ embarked on a new chapter of her recovery journey with their Service Dog, Lucky, who was generously donated by the Crowley Acres Dog Camp family in Peterborough, Ontario. Lucky has been instrumental in helping LJ regain confidence and transition back into the workforce in a meaningful way.

LJ holds diplomas in Health Sciences, Primary Care Paramedic, and Graphic Design and Marketing from Fleming College. Now, as EHN Guardians Community Alumni Coordinator, LJ is committed to supporting others on their recovery journeys and fostering a strong community of resilience and care.
